Course

Returning to Stillness

6 weeks · Self-paced with weekly letters · $399

A gentle course for nervous-system rest and listening. Six weeks of short practices, not a programme to perform.

You may begin any Monday.

  • Six weekly letters and audio
  • Healing sittings and sleep after the work
  • Launch gift: one free 60-minute Zoom consult with me (usually $122)
  • A 12-minute daily practice
  • Optional Sunday circle
  • Lifetime access to the materials

The weeks

  1. Week 1 — Arrive

Leave the performance at the door. We learn how to come back to the body without a story attached.

  2. Week 2 — Soften

Rest as a skill. Breath, water, and the art of doing one thing slowly.

  3. Week 3 — Listen

A daily card, a daily page. Hearing what is true underneath the noise.

  4. Week 4 — Keep

A small sanctuary you can actually maintain when the course is over.

  5. Week 5 — Return

The same practice, in ordinary days. What still holds when nobody is watching.

  6. Week 6 — Live it

A rule of rest small enough to keep. The course ends; the listening does not.

Practice

The practice in this course

Every path includes these sittings. The child. The bathroom floor. The first grief. Your guides. Sleep after the work. Close your eyes. Picture it. Then rest.

10 minutes

A new journey

Press listen. Close your eyes. Picture it.

  1. Close your eyes if that feels safe. If not, rest them on a candle or the floor.
  2. Walk, in your mind, to the bedroom at the age before the trauma — four, twelve, wherever memory takes you.
  3. Ask to enter. Sit with them. Feel their energy.
  4. If you feel you have let them down, tell them you are sorry. The caregivers did not know better.
  5. Ask if you may hold them. Offer your hand. Walk together to a safe place — a new journey of exploration and fun.
  6. Open your eyes when you are ready. Write while you can still feel it.

Close your eyes, if that feels safe. If it does not, let them rest on a candle, or the floor. You can still picture. Breathe in. Breathe out longer than you came in. Again. In your mind, walk toward the bedroom you had at the age you remember — before the trauma had occurred. This might be four. It might be twelve. Let memory take you. You do not have to get the year right. See the door. The handle. The light under it, or the dark. Ask to enter. Do not push the door. Wait until you feel you may go in. Go in. Sit with them. Same height. See them. Feel their energy — tight, humming, bright, hidden, waiting. Stay with that feeling. If you feel you have let them down, if you feel you did not protect them — tell them you are sorry. Softly. You are here now. Let them know the caregivers around them did not know better. This is not to excuse what happened. It is so the child does not have to carry all of it. Ask: may I hold you. If yes, hold them. If not, stay close. Both are love. When they are ready, offer your hand. Walk with them, out of that room, to a safe place. A new journey together. Exploration. Fun. You are going with them. They are not going alone. Stay there a moment. Feel the air of that safe place. The possibility. When you are ready, come back. Feet. Hands. The chair you are in. Open your eyes. Write what you saw, and what their energy was like, while it is still on you.

Rain, ocean, storm, whale-song, and sleep sounds live on the healing meditations page — free, and part of every course.
